JSW Steel: Eliminating export tax helps in global competition


The removal of India's export duty on steel intermediates immensely helps domestic companies compete in international markets, JSW Steel's finance chief, Seshagiri Rao MVS reportedly stated recently.

After months of complaints from miners and steelmakers about lost foreign sales opportunities, India eliminated export taxes on low-grade iron ore and some intermediate steel products.
