Jindal Subunit supplies 50 tonne of high-end stainless steel.


Jindal Stainless Ltd. (JSL) has supplied 50 tonne of high-end stainless steel grade for 12 coaches of the Indian Railways' Vande Metro train project. The stainless steel is to be of 21LN grade. The 201LN stainless steel grade is corrosion-resistant, higher in strength, and durable. The company stated that should the railways decide to go with the high-end grade for the future Vande Metro train sets or for the underframes, they will provide more material. The Integral Coach Factory (ICF) in Chennai produced the first Vande Metro train, which was presented by the Indian Railways. The Vande Bharata Express is available in a shorter length than the Vande Metro train.
