Jharkhand CM directs focus on improving transportation infra


Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren directed officials to expedite ongoing projects related to transportation infrastructure in the state and ensure their timely completion.

Presiding over a review meeting on the progress of various schemes being implemented by the Road Construction Department, Soren said the government is committed to improving road connectivity across rural and urban areas to facilitate seamless transportation and boost economic growth.

He stressed the need for effective coordination among concerned departments to avoid delays in project execution and instructed officials to address any bottlenecks hindering the progress of transportation projects.

The chief minister also emphasized the importance of maintaining quality standards in road construction and instructed officials to adhere to specifications laid down in project guidelines.

Soren urged officials to prioritize the construction of bridges and culverts in flood-prone areas to enhance resilience against natural calamities and ensure uninterrupted connectivity.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from the Road Construction Department, who briefed the chief minister on the status of ongoing projects and outlined measures being taken to overcome challenges in project implementation.
