ITI Issues Tender for 18 MW Rooftop Solar Projects in J&K


ITI, a public sector undertaking under the Department of Telecommunication, has issued a call for bids to empanel agencies for the installation of 18 MW grid-connected rooftop solar photovoltaic power systems on designated government buildings in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.

The project scope includes the supply, installation, commissioning, and a warranty with a five-year comprehensive maintenance contract.

Bids must be submitted by July 29, 2024, and will be opened on the same day.

Prospective bidders are required to pay a tender document fee of Rs 50,000 and an earnest money deposit (EMD) of Rs 5 million.

Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) specified by the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India, are exempt from the EMD requirement if they provide a valid registration certificate along with the technical bid.

Bidders must have completed at least 1 MW of cumulative on-grid, off-grid, or hybrid solar projects in the five years preceding the bid submission date.

They must also demonstrate a positive net worth at the end of the previous financial year, as verified by an auditor, and have a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 75 million over the last three financial years.

All materials or systems must come with a comprehensive warranty for at least five years from the completion or handover date, whichever is later.

Only grid-connected rooftop solar power projects will be installed, with capacities categorized as 2 kW, 3 kW, greater than 3 kW up to 10 kW, greater than 10 kW up to 100 kW, and greater than 100 kW up to 500 kW.

Project capacities will be determined based on the capacity of individual buildings rather than the aggregate capacity of the host institution.
