Indore Metro: Operations on 5.90 Km To Begin
Indore is set to witness the launch of metro rail services soon, as the submission of essential documents to the Commissioner of Metro Rail Safety (CMRS) is in its final phase, according to officials from the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MPMRCL). The metro services are expected to begin either later this month or in February, pending a green signal from the CMRS. “The work of submitting necessary documents to the CMRS from the MPMRCL is in the final stage. After the submission, the CMRS will take stock of the security arrangements by fixing the date of inspection of the depot and stations of the metro rail,” the official of the corporation said, PTI reported. The initial phase of operations will focus on a 5.90 km priority corridor, stretching from Gandhi Nagar station to station number three on the Super Corridor. This route saw its first trial run in September last year.
