India's Solar PV Manufacturing Capacity Hits 67 GW in a Decade

India's solar PV module manufacturing capacity has surged from 2.3 GW to 67 GW over the past decade, largely due to the "Make in India" initiative. The government is actively promoting domestic manufacturing through policies such as the Production-Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme, which has attracted 48 GW of solar manufacturing projects. Union Minister Pralhad Joshi highlighted the commitment to make India self-reliant in solar PV manufacturing and to establish a robust global presence in clean energy solutions.
