In Gwalior, Amit Shah lays foundation stone of new terminal
Union Home Minister Amit Shah laid the groundwork for the new terminal building and expansion of the Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia Airport in Gwalior, Madhya Pradesh. The new terminal building will cost Rs 4.46 bn to build. The event was attended by Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar, and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan.
The new terminal building will be 20,000 square metres in size, as opposed to the current 3,500 square metres. The airport will be able to park 13 planes after the expansion, up from the current capacity of three.
