The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has opened Naukuchia House – IHCL SeleQtions in Uttarakhand. Located at an elevation of over 4,000 feet in Kumaon foothills of the Himalayas, the 42-key retreat overlooks Naukuchiatal Lake.

Puneet Chhatwal, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, IHCL, said the launch aligns with IHCL’s focus on curating regional experiences in emerging tourist destinations. This marks the fifth collaboration with Leisure Hotels Group since 2013.

The resort offers signature dining at Ija, an all-day restaurant serving Kumaoni and multi-cuisine fare, and Himmaleh, a lounge and bar inspired by the Himalayas. Amenities include a temperature-controlled outdoor pool, a luxury spa, and exclusive lake access. Guests can enjoy experiences such as forest bathing, stargazing, private picnics, and nature trails. 

Vibhas Prasad, Director, Leisure Hotels Group, said the partnership aims to highlight Uttarakhand’s natural beauty and position Naukuchiatal on the global tourism map. 

Often referred to as the ‘lake of nine corners’, Naukuchiatal is a serene and picturesque destination in Uttarakhand. Naukuchiatal is also an ecological treasure, home to diverse flora and fauna, including the Yellow Billed Blue Magpie, making it a haven for nature enthusiasts.

With this addition, IHCL now has 17 hotels in Uttarakhand, including seven under development.
