Hyderabad to get boost for road infrastructure


To ensure commuters have a smooth and incident-free ride on city roads, the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has sanctioned 7,513 road-related works under its jurisdiction for the fiscal year 2022-23 at a staggering cost of Rs 19.47 billion. So far, the GHMC has completed 2,219 of the 7,513 sanctioned road-related works at a cost of Rs 4.58 billion, while the remaining 5,294 works at a cost of Rs 14.88 billion are in various stages of completion.

The total length of roads maintained by the GHMC is 9,013 km out of which 2,846 km are BT roads and 6,167 km are Cement Concrete (CC) roads.
