Himachal PWD Minister requests that the Centre approve PMGSY projects


Minister of Public Works, Youth Services, and Sports for Himachal Pradesh, Vikramaditya Singh, spoke with Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Giriraj Singh on Monday, April 17, in New Delhi.

As part of the Pradhan Mantri Gramme Sadak Yojna (PMGSY III), he informed the Union Minister that the state has submitted DPRs for 242 roads totalling 2565 km in length and costing Rs. 2813 crores. He pleaded for quick clearances.

According to Singh, the state's PMGSY III target is 3125 km, of which 440 km have already been approved under Batch 1 during the previous fiscal year.
