HIDCO to e-auction 10-acre land in Kolkata


A 10-acre land at Chowbhaga in Nonadanga off EM Bypass is scheduled to go under the hammer. The Housing Infrastructure Development Corporation (Hidco) will conduct the e-auction process for the land under KMC’s ward 108. Two firms have responded to participate in the bidding process.

A starting bidding price for the 10-acre land has been fixed at Rs 1.77 billion. The landwill be sold off on a freehold basis for residential or commercial use or for a mix of both the purposes. Hidco is also planning to conduct an e-auction process for a 7.4-acre plot on BL Saha Road under KMC’s ward 117 in Behala on January 20.

This plot will be given for residential purpose on a 99-year leasehold basis. The starting bid price for the plot is Rs 1.25 billion. Other land parcels in Kasba industrial estate will also go under the hammer soon.

The Kolkata Metropolitan Development Authority is planning to engage a real estate firm to develop the proposed knowledge-based theme township ‘Samriddhi’ at Kalyani in Nadia.
