Greenzo Energy Partners with EODev for Hydrogen Generators
Greenzo Energy India Limited (GEIL), India’s only manufacturer of 100% Made-in-India alkaline electrolyzers, has partnered with France’s EODev (Energy Observer Developments) to introduce GEH2 hydrogen fuel cell power generators in India and Nepal. This marks the first deployment of Toyota’s advanced hydrogen fuel cell technology in South Asia, with plans for potential local assembly under the ‘Make in India’ initiative.
Greenzo Energy will oversee distribution and maintenance of EODev’s emission-free generators, targeting sectors like agriculture, telecom, and transportation. These generators aim to phase out diesel-based systems, reducing fossil fuel dependency and supporting India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission. The partnership is expected to generate $10 million in business in its first year.
Sandeep Agarwal, Founder and Managing Director of Greenzo Energy, stated, “We are proud to partner with EODev to bring their Toyota fuel cell power hydrogen generators to South Asia. This collaboration is a significant step toward replacing fossil fuels with sustainable alternatives, enabling clean energy solutions that not only contribute to a healthier environment but also unlock substantial revenue opportunities for Indian industries.”
Agarwal highlighted the rigorous evaluation process that led to the partnership, emphasizing Greenzo Energy’s expertise and robust network. “With India’s push to phase out diesel generators, this partnership marks EODev’s strategic footprint in India,” he added.
EODev CEO Jérémie Lagarrigue expressed excitement about the collaboration, noting, “This collaboration represents a significant milestone in our expansion into this key market, where clean and reliable energy solutions are crucial to addressing the challenges of the energy transition.”
The venture will also create opportunities for local assembly, boosting domestic manufacturing capabilities and job creation. EODev’s hydrogen generators are expected to cater to diverse sectors, including telecom, defense, and government operations, addressing the growing demand for clean energy solutions globally and in South Asia.
