Godrej Enterprises Group wins Order for Cutting-Edge Geothermal Condenser

The Process Equipment business of Godrej Enterprises Group, has bagged an order for an Advanced Direct Contact Condenser (ADCC) based on its in-house Ecolaire® technology for a geothermal power project in the Asia-Pacific region. This project underscores India's growing role as a global key equipment supplier to the renewable energy sector. The equipment will be manufactured and dispatched from their world-class manufacturing facility in Dahej, Gujarat.
The Advanced Direct Contact Condenser is used to condense steam from the turbine exhaust by mixing it with cooling water. Unlike surface condensers, which use heat transfer through tubes, ADCC directly mixes steam and cooling water, allowing for efficient heat exchange and condensation. It also allows for higher plant efficiency as the back pressure on the turbines is reduced thus increasing the power output. It can be designed for lower condenser pressure and/or less cooling water flow which helps in reducing the size of other major components.
Hussain Shariyarr, Executive Vice President & Business Head, Process Equipment business of Godrej & Boyce, a part of Godrej Enterprises Group said, “As the global energy landscape rapidly shifts toward sustainable solutions, geothermal power stands out as one of the key renewable sources that can provide energy round-the-clock, like Nuclear power and Hydrogen. Our ability to manufacture complex equipment showcases how Indian engineering excellence can meet global demands in the clean and green energy space. This order reinforces the trust that customers place in our engineering and manufacturing capabilities marking a significant milestone for Godrej Enterprises Group, also demonstrating our successful integration of the Yuba® and Ecolaire® technology portfolio.”
Godrej Enterprises Group is a leading manufacturer of high-end critical process equipment, serving key industries such as oil & gas, power, chemicals, fertilizers, and hydrogen.
