Gadkari reviews national highway projects in northeast


Road Transport and Highways Minister Nitin Gadkari held a high-level meeting to review the progress of national highway projects in the northeastern states. The meeting, attended by chief ministers and senior officials, focused on enhancing infrastructure and connectivity in the region.

According to an official statement, Gadkari assessed 15 highway projects in Arunachal Pradesh, 38 in Manipur, and 16 in Tripura. He emphasised the need for timely project completion to improve regional connectivity and drive economic growth in the North-East.

The review was also attended by Union Minister of Parliamentary and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju, along with Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh, and Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha. (ET)
