Final Stretch of Mumbai-Nagpur Expressway to Open by March 2025

The last 76-km stretch of the Mumbai-Nagpur Samruddhi Expressway, connecting Igatpuri near Nashik to Amane near Bhiwandi, is nearing completion, with final lane-marking and painting scheduled between February 25-27. Once inaugurated, the expressway will provide direct access from Mumbai, further enhancing connectivity.

Designed for speeds up to 150 kmph, the expressway features advanced infrastructure, including wildlife underpasses, flyovers, and pedestrian crossings. Tunnels along the route are decorated with traditional Warli art, showcasing Maharashtra’s rich heritage. Additionally, 10 public utility areas with petrol stations, eateries, and rest stops are planned to improve commuter convenience.
With the completion of this final stretch, the expressway is expected to boost tourism, real estate, and overall socio-economic growth, marking a significant milestone in Maharashtra’s infrastructure development.
