Essar Vizag Cargo handling surges by 10%


Essar Vizag Terminal, currently operating India’s largest iron ore handling complex in Visakhapatnam, recorded a 1.3 MMT of cargo handling for April, projecting a growth of 10% on an annual basis.

For FY 2022, EVTL handled a cargo of 12.7 MMT and the increase in traffic records the uptick in the Indian steel sector, a major contributor to the manufacturing output of India.

Essar Ports Managing Director, Operating Partner (Infrastructure), Rajiv Agarwal said that the Vizag terminal’s performance is a testimony of its commitment to providing world-class assets and services having technology at the core.
