DDU Marg to Undergo Facelift as BJP Shifts Office

The Public Works Department (PWD) will begin improvement and beautification works on Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Marg as the Delhi BJP prepares to shift its state office to the area.

The project, costing Rs 22.3 Mn, will include both civil and electrical upgrades and is expected to be completed within a month, officials confirmed.

The new multi-storey BJP office is nearing completion and will replace the current premises at Pandit Pant Marg. The building is being designed to accommodate more staff and activities, with modern amenities such as basement parking, a conference room, and meeting rooms.

A party functionary said the current space is inadequate and lacks parking, making the new premises essential. Construction has been underway since 2023. According to the PWD plan, the facelift will include repairing potholes, drain cleaning, and road resurfacing. New LED streetlights will be installed, and road markings and painting will also be carried out. The approach road, currently in poor condition, is a key focus of the project.
