DDA to offer 2,500 flats in phase two of Sasta Ghar scheme

The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) announced that bookings for newly constructed flats under Phase 2 of the Sasta Ghar Housing Scheme will begin on 14 November. This phase will offer over 2,500 flats across locations such as Rohini, Dwarka, Mangolpuri, Ramgarh, Loknayakpuram, Siraspur, Narela, and other parts of Delhi. Registration for interested buyers is already underway. Starting at a price of Rs 11.5 lakh, the flats will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The flats span different categories, including over 250 Low-Income Group (LIG) flats in Rohini Sectors 34 and 35, priced between Rs 12-15.5 lakh, and 180 Economically Weaker Section (EWS) flats in Mangolpuri, priced at Rs 32-35 lakh. Additionally, 1,800 EWS flats will be available in Narela’s Sector A1-A4 (Pocket 1A, 1B, and 1C), priced between Rs 18-20 lakh. Other units will be offered in Narela, Siraspur, Loknayakpuram, and surrounding areas.

An official explained that the scheme aims to facilitate affordable homeownership in Delhi, with all flats in Phase 2 ready for immediate occupancy. Prospective buyers are encouraged to register on the DDA’s website and may also visit the sites.

This offering follows the sale of flats from Phase 1, launched in August, which included nearly 9,000 units across the Sasta Ghar, Madhyam Vargiya, and Dwarka Housing Schemes. By the end of September, approximately 1,650 flats were sold on a first-come, first-served basis across areas like Jasola, Narela, Rohini, Loknayakpuram, Ramgarh, and Siraspur.

In addition, out of the 169 flats auctioned in Dwarka’s Sector 14, 16B, and 19B under the Penthouse, High-Income Group (HIG), Super HIG, and Middle-Income Group (MIG) categories, over 130 were sold. The Sasta Ghar and Madhyam Vargiya schemes also saw high demand, with over 1,200 LIG and 440 EWS flats sold, particularly in Rohini, where all 708 LIG units were booked. Significant bookings were also recorded in Narela, Ramgarh, and Loknayakpuram.

To enhance the appeal of these residential pockets, the DDA will develop green spaces at designated sites and is collaborating with local authorities to maintain cleanliness. DDA’s horticulture department is currently focused on creating green areas around the housing projects to improve the quality of life for residents, while they are also urging the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to ensure thorough cleaning of the respective flats and surrounding areas.
