The Ministry of Coal will host a roadshow on commercial coal mine auctions and investment opportunities in Gandhinagar, Gujarat, on March 3, 2025. This event aims to attract private investment and boost industry participation in India’s coal sector.

Union Minister of State for Coal and Mines, Shri Satish Chandra Dubey, will be the Chief Guest, joined by Ms Rupinder Brar, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Coal, and other senior officials. They will provide insights into the auction process, investment landscape, and government initiatives driving growth in the sector.

Following successful roadshows in Kolkata and Mumbai, this event in Gandhinagar sets the stage for the 12th round of commercial coal mine auctions, expected to begin in the second week of March. The roadshow will showcase available coal blocks, investment opportunities, and the ease of doing business in India’s coal industry, with discussions on technological advancements, sustainability measures, and policy reforms.

The commercial coal mine auctions have been key in unlocking India’s coal potential, attracting both domestic and international players, and reducing import dependency. Through investor-friendly policies and technological progress, the Ministry of Coal remains focused on strengthening India’s energy security and supporting economic growth.
