CM Unveils Projects Worth Rs 6.5 Billion in Hardoi


Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched 729 development schemes worth Rs 6.5 billion in Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, with a major focus on industry and connectivity.

Highlighting the PM Mitra Textile Park coming up near Hardoi, he said the project will create significant employment and support local artisans. “Once the park is built, youth won’t need to migrate for jobs. Instead, people from other states will come here to work,” he noted, praising the weaving skills in Mallawan town.

The textile park is part of the PM Mega Integrated Textile Regions and Apparel (PM MITRA) initiative, with parks also set to be developed in Tamil Nadu, Telangana, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra. During the event, the Chief Minister honoured national heroes including Ram Prasad Bismil, Ashfaqullah Khan, and Rani Lakshmibai, recalling their role in the freedom struggle.

He also highlighted growing development in Hardoi, noting that the district’s medical college is now operational, and a nursing college is in progress. Additionally, Rs 150 Mn was distributed under the Rural Livelihood Mission, alongside support through the Khadi and Village Industries Scheme.
