CM Naveen Patnaik inaugurated 13 projects worth Rs 103 cr


Chief Minister of Odisha, Naveen Patnaik, inaugurated 13 new projects in Ekamra, Bhubaneswar with an investment of Rs 103 crore.

Many important projects have been launched in Ekamra, like the drinking water supply project, restoration and beautification of the Dhauli Peace Pagoda and purification of the Kedargouri pond.

He said that the Ekamra scheme was launched to beautify the surroundings of the Lord Lingaraj Temple.

He also highlighted the state's flagship health scheme, Biju Swasthya Kalyan Yojana, which is the main welfare identity of the government. He added that smart health card distribution to the residents of Odisha is a revolution in the health care sector.

The Works Minister, Prafulla Mallick, Housing and Urban Development Minister, Pratap Jena, Irrigation, Information and Public Relations Minister, Raghunandan Das and Science and Technology Minister, Ashok Panda, attended the event.

The newly launched project includes 24 hours of drinking water facility in the Ekamra region, 24 hours of drinking water supply in the Baramunda Housing Board Colony and Jagannath Vihar region, a two laned road along the Gangaua Left Embankment in Kapileshwar, box culvert for drainage of wastewater from Kedargouri Temple, piped water supply in Indira Colony in Lingipur, rehabilitation of leprosy colony of Lingaraj and Gokhibaba regions, lighting of the SUM Hospital road, renovation of the Dhauli Shanti Stupa, bridge construction over the Daya West branch Canal, road construction over Daya South canal, restoration of the Kuakhai Right Embankment, and the improvement of the right bank service road of Daya West Canal.
