CHB plans to begin online services for transfer of properties
The Chandigarh Housing Board (CHB) has planned to begin online services or e-services for the residents to apply online for their homes and receive related services without visiting the office. The National Informatics Centre (NIC) has customised the Service Plus module for three online services, while the rest of the services are under the process of finalisation. The three services are a no-objection certificate (NOC) for the transfer deed of lease rights, transfer of leasehold property on registered transfer deed of lease rights and transfer of freehold property through sale, gift, or transfer deeds. An official said that the planning of the services would start from February 2022. Other steps like a helpdesk will also be set up at the reception where the residents can apply through the online mode. CEO of CHB, Yashpal Garg, said that the chief accounts officer would supervise the process with the assistance of the system analyst. Image Source
