CEMEX to implement mp connect driver card by 2021 end
Building materials major CEMEX aims to implement mp connect cards that will be mandatory across its business by the end of 2021, the one card solution to support the management of contractors and hauliers.
The card got rolled out across CEMEX’s aggregates sites in the central and southern business areas at present, with the launch in Readymix London and southern locations now underway.
The take-up of mp connect has been fruitful so far, with 98% of hauliers across the aggregate central area compliant and 85% of those in aggregates south. The system is being used 2000 times a week and lives at 39 sites currently, with that figure consistently increasing every week.
CEMEX committed to the nationwide rollout of mp connect because it will help to streamline its processes and improve the management of hauliers and contractors.
It will make sure all the drivers meet site and legislative requirements and enable the business to constantly increase standards and lead the industry in safety and compliance.
