CCA, Ministry of Mines Hosts Workshop on e-Bill Implementation
The Office of the Chief Controller of Accounts (CCA), Ministry of Mines, organised a workshop on 14 February 2025 under the chairpersonship of the CCA, Ministry of Mines. The session provided valuable insights into the functionalities and benefits of e-Bill, a digital platform designed to streamline the generation, processing, and validation of bills. The workshop aimed to familiarise stakeholders with the advantages and practical applications of e-Bill, promoting greater efficiency and transparency in the billing process.
The workshop was attended by Ministry officials, vendors, and other stakeholders, with 26 participants joining in person and a further 20 via video conference. A comprehensive demonstration covered key aspects of e-Bill usage, including bill generation, submission, validation, and monitoring approval processes via the dashboard.
The session underscored the benefits of the e-Bill system, highlighting its role in simplifying and expediting bill submission and approval. Key advantages discussed included:
- Reduced processing time: Faster bill generation and approvals, minimising payment delays.
- Enhanced tracking: Real-time monitoring of bills, improving accountability.
- Paperless efficiency: Reduced reliance on physical paperwork, enabling remote access to documents.
- Greater convenience: A seamless system benefiting all stakeholders.
The CCA, Ministry of Mines, stressed the importance of widespread e-Bill adoption to ensure smooth implementation across all relevant sectors. The office reaffirmed its commitment to supporting users transitioning to the digital billing platform. The workshop concluded on a positive note, with participants expressing confidence in e-Bill’s efficiency and practical advantages.
