BSES, TERI sign MoUs to Modernise Delhi Power Network

BSES Rajdhani Power (BRPL) and BSES Yamuna Power (BYPL) have signed memoranda of understanding with The Energy and Resources Institute (TERI) to strengthen Delhi’s power infrastructure. The three-year partnership will focus on integrating renewable energy, energy storage, and smart grid technologies.

The agreements were signed by BRPL CEO Abhishek Ranjan, BYPL CEO Amarjeet Singh, and TERI Director General Dr Vibha Dhawan, in the presence of BSES Director and Group CEO Amal Sinha and senior officials. The collaboration will target the integration of distributed energy resources, deployment of grid-scale storage, and support for electric vehicle infrastructure. The plan also includes applying digital twins, artificial intelligence, and machine learning to improve grid efficiency and reliability.

Energy efficiency and demand-side management will form a key part of the programme. BSES will supply operational data to TERI to support research aimed at improving energy security and distribution in the National Capital Region.

Through this initiative, BSES and TERI aim to make Delhi a national model for sustainable energy management and support India’s climate commitments.
