Chief minister Nitish Kumar launched 449 development projects worth over Rs 3.05 billion during his Pragati Yatra in Araria district. He also announced the establishment of a new medical college and hospital in Araria, the district headquarters. Nitish also announced that a modern auditorium would be constructed at the Araria district headquarters that would help conduct various large programmes, organised by the administration at the district-level.

He also said that a road overbridge (ROB) would be constructed at Subhash Chowk in Forbesganj town, alleviating traffic congestion and providing convenience to people. He also said that block-cum-circle office buildings would be constructed in Araria, Kursakanta, Narpatganj, Forbesganj, Bhargama, Raniganj, and Sikti blocks of the district.

The CM also announced that Sundarnath Dham in Dumariya panchayat of Kursakanta block would be developed. "It will provide better facilities to tourists coming from afar and create employment opportunities for the local people," Nitish said. He also announced that the Araria-Kursakanta-Kuari-Sikti road would be widened, making travel easier for people. Similarly, the road from Saifganj to Sukaila (via Mahthawa, Bhargama) would also be widened, easing travel for people, he said.

In a programme, the CM laid the foundation stone of a robotic lab class for children at Hansa in the campus of Ramanugrah High School, Hansa and Chhatoyona gram panchayat under Raniganj block. Kumar also inspected and visited different kiosks set by govt.
