Bengaluru Metro to accept feedback on fare hike till October 28
The Bangalore Metro Rail Corporation Ltd (BMRCL) has extended the deadline for feedback and suggestions regarding the proposed revision of Metro fares till Oct 28. Commuters can submit their responses via email to ffc@bmrc.co.in, send a message via WhatsApp to the number 9448291173, or post a letter to the chairperson of the 1st Fare Fixation Committee of BMRCL, Shanthinagar. As previously reported, the corporation plans to increase fares in the coming days to manage expenses such as loan repayments and interest payments. However, the decision will only be made after reviewing public opinion and the majority of responses. After Metro operations began, the fare increased in 2017 by 10% to 15%. Currently, Metro is running with a minimum fare of Rs 10 and a maximum fare of Rs 60.
