BBMP to demolish 29 buildings in Bengaluru south zone


Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has identified 29 buildings in its south zone for demolition due to severe deviations from approved construction plans. The action follows a directive from Vinoth Priya R, BBMP south zone commissioner, to crack down on unauthorised constructions. "These buildings were found to have significant violations, including illegal floors and constructions, without proper approvals," said a senior BBMP engineer. The violations are spread across VV Puram, Vidya Peeta, and Hombegowda Nagar.
