Azad Engineering inks Rs 3.4 Bn deal

Barely a week after inking a Rs 7 billion deal with Japanese giant Mitsubishi for supplying highly engineered rotating and stationary airfoils for power generation applications, Hyderabad-based Azad Engineering has now signed a $40 million (approx. Rs 3.4 billion) deal with French player Arabelle Solutions France.

The five-year contract will see Azad Engineering supply critical and highly complex rotating and stationary components for meeting the global demand for the nuclear power generation industry, Azad Engineering said in a regulatory filing on Tuesday.

With this, the company has orders worth Rs 44 billion to Rs 47 billion in hand with most of the contracts being long-term in nature, company officials said.
