Assam to establish 8 mega projects worth Rs 8,201 crore


Several major decisions were made during the Assam Cabinet meeting, including the new City Gas Distribution Project, eight mega industrial projects, an MoU to resolve border concerns with Arunachal Pradesh, government appointments for sports achievers, pension for Loktantra Senani, and so on.

One of the significant announcements made during the meeting was that an investment of Rs 82.01 billion has been suggested for eight big projects to be established with the help of eight companies. The MoUs with the corporations will be signed on May 9, 2023, as announced during the Cabinet meeting.

The eight megaprojects announced are expected to create approximately 6100 jobs.
