Arunachal, NHLML join hands for infrastructure development

The Arunachal Pradesh government has signed an MoU for infrastructure development in the state with National Highway Logistics Management (NHLML), an SPV of the National Highway Authority of India (NHAI). The NHLML is the executing agency for the national ropeway programme - 'Parvatmala' project, which was announced in the Union Budget (2022-23) for the construction of ropeways in hilly terrains across the country for connecting inaccessible areas, decongesting urban areas, and improving tourism in states.

The MoU is expected to result in effective project implementation, development, construction, operation, and maintenance. It would also connect remote and tranquil areas of Arunachal Pradesh to the mainstream, making them more accessible not only to locals but also to large numbers of tourists, according to reports.
