Apraava Adds 250.7 MW Wind Power in Gujarat

Apraava Energy has successfully commissioned its largest wind power project, a 250.7 MW facility in Sidhpur, Devbhoomi Dwarka district, Gujarat. Developed under the Solar Energy Corporation of India’s (SECI) Tranche VIII wind tender, this addition expands Apraava’s operational wind portfolio to approximately 1200 MW.

The project features 120 Suzlon wind turbine generators, each with a 2.1 MW capacity, and has secured a 25-year power purchase agreement (PPA) with SECI at Rs 2.83 per kWh. Equipped with advanced fire-suppression and condition-monitoring systems, the project ensures high operational efficiency.

Beyond energy generation, Apraava has implemented community development programs in 12 villages around Sidhpur, focusing on water security, livelihood support, and women empowerment. The company also operates wind farms in Mahidad (50.4 MW) and Samana (100.8 MW) and recently secured a contract to install 2.3 million smart meters in Gujarat.

Apraava’s diversified energy portfolio includes 3,394 MW of installed capacity across wind, solar, coal, and power transmission projects. The company is also developing greenfield transmission lines and expanding its renewable energy footprint with 300 MW in wind and 600 MW in solar under construction. Committed to a low-carbon future, Apraava continues to invest in clean energy solutions across India.
