The airline has also initiated a retrofit program, with the first A320neo narrow-body aircraft undergoing refurbishment in early September. A total of 27 legacy narrow-body aircraft will be fully retrofitted, with the program expected to conclude by mid-2025.

Post-merger, Vistara's flight schedules and routes will remain unchanged, along with the in-flight experience, including menus and service staff.

In a multi-media campaign, the airline highlighted that the merged entity will offer travellers access to an unprecedented range of domestic and international destinations, along with over 800 additional locations through codeshare and interline partnerships. The transition for current Club Vistara members to Air India’s Flying Returns program will be seamless, with Flying Returns set to be rebranded as the "Maharaja Club."

The retrofitted A320neo will feature eight premium seats in Business Class, 24 extra legroom seats in Premium Economy, and 132 comfortable seats in Economy Class. Passengers can expect modern amenities such as USB ports with Type A and C options for charging devices, enhanced cabin lighting, wider seat pitch, and increased legroom, all designed to meet the needs of today's travellers. The interior will also be updated with contemporary colours and patterns reflecting the brand's logo.

Additionally, six A350 aircraft currently operating between Delhi and London and soon to serve the Delhi-New York route have been integrated into Air India's widebody fleet.
