Air India and Kenya Airways have entered into a codeshare partnership to enhance connectivity between India and Africa. This agreement builds on their existing interline arrangement, allowing passengers to travel seamlessly using a single ticket and a unified baggage policy. 

Under the codeshare, Air India will place its ‘AI’ code on Kenya Airways’ twice-daily flights between Nairobi and Mumbai, offering onward connections via Mumbai to destinations including Bangkok, Colombo, Dhaka, Male, Melbourne, and Singapore. Additionally, passengers flying from Nairobi to Delhi with Air India can access multiple domestic and international destinations via Delhi. 

Kenya Airways will, in turn, place its ‘KQ’ code on Air India-operated flights between Nairobi and Delhi, facilitating smoother travel for passengers from Africa to India. The interline agreement further enables seamless travel across 28 African cities—including Accra, Addis Ababa, Dar Es Salaam, Johannesburg, and Cape Town—and 15 Indian cities such as Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad. 

Both airlines plan to expand the codeshare network to include more destinations in the future.
