Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation Fails Bridge Surveillance Promise

Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) finds itself under scrutiny as it fails to uphold its commitment to install surveillance cameras on 81 bridges and flyovers across the city. Despite assurances made earlier, the project has hit a roadblock, leaving many areas vulnerable to security threats and accidents.

The initiative, aimed at bolstering public safety and monitoring traffic flow, was announced amidst growing concerns over the security and maintenance of vital infrastructure. However, delays in implementation have raised doubts about the administration's ability to fulfil its obligations effectively.

The absence of surveillance measures on these critical structures poses significant risks to both commuters and pedestrians. Without proper monitoring, incidents of vandalism, accidents, and criminal activities may escalate, endangering the well-being of citizens and commuters.

The failure to deliver on this promise reflects poorly on the city administration's commitment to public safety and infrastructure development. It highlights the need for better planning, execution, and accountability in municipal projects to ensure the welfare of residents.
