Aeria secures $ 1.8 mn pre-seed with Kalaari & Foundamental
Aeria, an asset management platform catering to commercial real estate, announced the closure of US$1.8 million in pre-seed funding. The funding round was spearheaded by Kalaari Capital and Foundamental, with contributions from AC Ventures, AL Trust, and several prominent angels.
The company disclosed its intentions to utilise the capital for expanding its footprint across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, and various other Asian regions within the upcoming year.
According to data from Crunchbase, funding for venture-backed proptech companies has exceeded pre-pandemic levels. Notably, construction tech and property management startups have been at the forefront of this trend.
In 2023, VC-backed real estate firms managed to raise a staggering $ 13.4 billion, a significant surge compared to the $ 4.1 billion raised during the corresponding period the previous year.
