Advait Energy Wins Power Grid Contract for Optical Wire Installation

Advait Energy Transitions Ltd has emerged as the L1 bidder for the OPGW-04 package awarded by Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL). The contract involves the supply and installation of Optical Ground Wire (OPGW) and communication equipment across multiple transmission lines in India.

Part of PGCIL's bulk implementation scheme for OPGW and communication infrastructure, the contract is associated with RFx Number: 5002003929 and covers both supply and erection work at various locations nationwide.

Earlier this year, Advait Energy Transitions received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd (GUVNL) for a 50 MW/500 MWh share in the 500 MW/1000 MWh standalone battery energy storage system (BESS) project in Gujarat. This project, under tariff-based global competitive bidding (Phase-IV) with viability gap funding, is aimed at strengthening energy storage capabilities in the state’s power grid.

The 50 MW BESS component is scheduled for completion within 18 months, further reinforcing Advait Energy’s position in India's renewable and grid infrastructure sector.
