Adani Gangavaram Port Breaks Record in Timber Log Handling

Adani Gangavaram Port, recognised as one of India's deepest ports, announced on Friday that it had achieved a new record for handling timber logs on consecutive days, with 4,392 metric tonnes and 4,206 metric tonnes of timber logs handled for the vessel MV Mangusta. This accomplishment surpassed the port's previous record of 2,900 metric tonnes handled in a single day.

The port management stated that the new records in cargo handling were made possible through strategic investments in infrastructure aimed at improving cargo handling efficiency and railway facilities.

They further mentioned that the port expects to break additional operational records in the current fiscal year, contributing significant economic benefits to Indian importers with its efficient port operations and evacuation systems, which ensure faster turnaround times and deliveries.
