ACME, GREW Solar Partner for Rajasthan Project


ACME Solar Holdings Ltd. has partnered with GREW Solar to develop a solar power project in Bikaner, Rajasthan, enhancing the region’s renewable energy capacity. The project will utilize GREW Solar’s Topcon solar modules, manufactured at its 3 GW facility near Dudu, Jaipur.

Expanding Renewable Portfolio ACME Solar, with a 6.97 GW renewable energy portfolio, operates 2.54 GW of installed capacity, while 4.43 GW remains under development. The company aims to deepen its partnership with GREW Solar for future projects.

NHPC Power Purchase Agreement In January 2025, ACME Solar signed a power purchase agreement (PPA) with NHPC Ltd. for a 680 MW firm and dispatchable renewable energy project under NHPC’s 1,400 MW FDRE tender. This multi-state project—across Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, and Rajasthan—integrates solar, wind, and battery storage, ensuring:

40% minimum annual capacity utilization 90% peak-hour commitment Reduced greenhouse gas emissions The collaboration reflects India’s continued push toward sustainable energy solutions and decarbonization.
