The company has already commissioned a solar module manufacturing unit in Jaipur, Rajasthan, with an annual capacity of 1.2 GW. The facility, built with an investment of Rs 2.3 billion, currently employs over 700 people. ACME now plans to scale up this capacity and establish a new solar cell manufacturing plant through its subsidiary, ACME Renewable Equipment Manufacturing Pvt Ltd.

The company has also been included in the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s (MNRE) Approved List of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM), a certification that enables it to supply modules for government-backed schemes, SECI bids, rooftop solar installations, the KUSUM programme, and export markets.

ACME’s Chairman, Manoj K Upadhyay, said the move not only reinforces India's manufacturing capabilities but also helps reduce the overall cost of renewable energy. According to industry estimates, India’s solar module production capacity is projected to rise from 80 GW in 2025 to 125 GW by 2030, while solar cell manufacturing is expected to grow from 25 GW to 40 GW.

This strategic expansion strengthens ACME’s position in the clean energy value chain and supports India’s ambitions to lead in sustainable power technologies.
