31 companies bid in 10th commercial coal mine auction

JSW Steel, JSW Energy, ACC Ltd, NMDC Ltd, NTPC Mining Ltd, and Jindal Steel and Power Ltd (JSPL) are among 31 companies that have submitted bids for the tenth round of the commercial coal mine auction, according to a statement from the coal ministry.

This round saw participation from over 10 new companies entering the commercial coal mine auction for the first time. A total of 67 coal blocks were offered for sale in June, with the government receiving 44 bids for these mines.

The bids will undergo evaluation by a multi-disciplinary technical evaluation committee, which will shortlist technically qualified bidders for participation in the upcoming electronic auction on the MSTC portal.
