11 industrial corridors being developed across the nation


According to the Ministry of Commerce & Industry on Friday, the Center is gradually constructing 11 industrial corridor projects as part of the National Industrial Corridor Programme (NICP) around the nation.

The following are the industrial routes that the Center is creating:
DMIC, or Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor
the CBIC, or Chennai-Bengaluru Industrial Corridor
Industrial Corridor of Amritsar and Kolkata (AKIC)
Vizag and the East Coast Industrial Corridor (ECIC)
Industrial Corridor of Chennai (VCIC)
BMIC, or Bengaluru-Mumbai Industrial Corridor
Extension of CBIC through Coimbatore to Kochi
HNIC, or Hyderabad-Nagpur Industrial Corridor
HWIC, or the Hyderabad Warangal Industrial Corridor
Bangalore-Hyderabad Industrial Corridor (HBIC)
OEC: Odisha Economic Corridor
DNIC, or Delhi-Nagpur Industrial Corridor

In the meantime, the ministry stated that states are responsible for making available contiguous and encumbrance-free land parcels and that the government, through the National Industrial Corridor Development & Implementation Trust (NICDIT), provides funds as equity/debt for the development of world-class trunk infrastructure in the industrial nodes under industrial corridors.
