Nitin Gadkari lays foundation stones for 11 NH projects in MP


Nitin Gadkari, Minister for Road Transport & Highways (MoRTH), has laid the foundation for 11 National Highway (NH) projects worth Rs 5,722 crore in Madhya Pradesh.

According to the media, the Minister said the Ujjain-Dewas Industrial Corridor would create new employment opportunities. The overall length of the highways is 534 km.

Gadkari told the media that the whole Malwa-Nimar region would be developed, including border areas as storage centres. It would save time and fuel both and would make travelling more secure.

He said the Government is consistently taking steps to build next-generation infrastructure with a promise to ensure better security, smooth connectivity, and faster development.

During the event, V K Singh, Union Minister of State Road Transport and Highways, Shivraj Chouhan, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister, and Sumitra Mahajan, former Lok Sabha speaker and senior BJP leader were also present.
