L&T bags orders for its power transmission and distribution business
The Power Transmission and Distribution Business of Larsen and Toubro (L&T) has received orders across India and abroad as well. The renewable subsidiary of the business bagged an order for the construction of a 245 MW solar power project located in Rajasthan. Larsen and Toubro, an Indian multinational company engaged in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) Projects, Hi-tech Manufacturing, and Services are currently operating in over 50 countries worldwide. They have further received an order for the implementation of a solar photovoltaic cum storage project in the Kutch district, Gujarat. The large-scale and grid-interactive green energy storage project shall have a 35 MW solar capacity along with a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) of 57 MWh. In the Middle East, Larsen and Toubro have got orders to supply and construct the shunt reactors in 132-kilovolt substations, on a turnkey basis. The reactive power compensation elements are to be added to the Dubai Electricity infrastructure of the 132-kilovolt network and will provide voltage control to assist in the maintenance of the highest standards of reliability, availability, and efficiency. The company has further received additional orders from ongoing transmission line projects. Larsen and Toubro have a strong, customer-focused approach.
